spotted owlet in nepal

Description:
The Spotted Owlet is a small owl found across Southeast Asia. These birds are usually found in woods and human societies too and nest in hollow holes of trees, abandoned buildings. Their body is are grey-brown with white spots in upperparts and remaining parts are white streaked with brown and circular little yellowish face. Both gender of this noctural birds look similar in appearance and size. They prey insect, rats, toads, small snakes to feed themselves. Their breeding season is November to April when female one lay 3-5 eggs in a clutch. They are found in chitwan of Nepal.

Weight: 110-114grams
Color: grey-brown with white spots, white streaked, brown and circular yellowish face
Length: around 21 cms
