red whiskered bulbul in nepal

The Red-whiskered Bulbul are found in wild areas. These birds living in woodlands, forest, parks are found in different countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Vietnam. They have brown body, black crest, white cheek, red whisker below eyes and red tailed feathers. These birds feed on berries, seeds, nectars and fruits like mango, papaya, plum, raspberry and strawberry. The red-whiskered bulbul constructs a small, deep, cupshaped nest from twigs and leaves in trees. They may breed twice a year and female bird lays 4-5 eggs at a time. They are found in koshi tappu of Nepal.

Weight: 23-42 grams

Length: 20 - 22 cms
