Description:
These birds are carnivorous birds and found in European and Asian countries. Their feathers are brown, with lighter patches. they have white long flying feathers in their wings which help them in circular flight at remarkable height. They also have a dark bill, yellow eyes and legs. They live in cliffs, rocky hills or in trees of farmland. They also nest in the repaired nest left by other birds. Even though these birds feed on carcass of animal like reptiles, squirrels, rabbits, small birds and large insects, they prey on animals which they see in while hovering in the sky. They live for around 9 years. Female buzzards lays about three to five eggs in a clutch in their breeding season which falls from March and May. These birds also have nature of migrating from one place to other. They are seen in Pokhara of Nepal.

great cormorant in nepal

Description:
The Great Cormorant is a black cloured widespread seabird and also found nearby lakes and river. It has a long tail and yellow patch in throat. The Great Cormorant nests on cliffs or trees made up of twigs, seaweed and plant leftovers in colonial manner. The Great Cormorant are good swimmers and can dive limited depths for about 20-30 seconds. It has been known to swallow small pebbles to make the dive easier. Their feathers are not waterproof, so they stretch out their wings to dry them off. It can live around 23 years. During breeding season 3 - 4 eggs are laid in a clutch. Both parents incubate eggs and take care of their offsprings. They are seen in Koshi Tappu of Nepal.

oriental pied hornbill in nepal

Description:
The Oriental Pied Hornbill falls under smallest Asian hornbill species found in Indian Subcontinent across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Tibet, and Vietnam. These birds have black and white colored feather and white parts around the eye. Both gender of this bird look alike. They have white, yellowish large bill. They feed on fruit and small animals including reptiles like frogs, lizards, crabs, small birds and large insects. Their habitat includes coast, river beds, forest, gardens, and agricultural fields. These birds have unusual kind of breeding which lies between December to April. The female hornbill seals herself in natural holes of trees for 90 days or more when breeding which has been deposited with food by male bird. The female birds 3-4 eggs in a clutch to incubate its chicks. They are seen in Chitwan of Nepal.

Description:
Himalayan Bulbul has black and white mixture on their body and brown tail with yellow part underneath it. Both gender of this bird look similar. These birds are found in different countries of Indian Subcontinent like Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Tajikistan. these birds are social so can be easily found in human society too. These birds lives in forest, grassland, gardens. They build cup shaped nest from small sticks, twigs, soft plant leftovers on low branches of trees. The female lays usually three eggs in a clutch in their breeding season. Himalayan bulbul feeds on mainly insects, fruit, berries, seeds and nectar. They are seen in Pokhara of Nepal.

eurasian collared dove in nepal

Description:
Eurasian collared dove are pigeon like with white feathered tail and dark black dash on back of its neck. These bird are distinct due to half collar like bar on its neck. This bird's nutrition is comprised of agricultural products like seeds, fruit, berries, grains like wheat/corn and also insects as protein supplement. These birds live in agriculture lands like farmyards, fields, forest and human influenced towns too. These birds breed as much as 6 times a year with clutch sized of 1-2 eggs laid by female dove. Female dove builds nest above 10 feet from ground on trees with small sticks, feathers, left overs of plants, twigs which is fetched and brought by male one. They are found in Kathmandu, Chitwan of Nepal.

indian peacock in Nepal

Description:
Peacock is a large and multi colored bird of the pheasant family and found across different countries of South Asia. Genders of this bird are different from each other. Male one is named Peacock and the female is called Peahen and both they are called Peafowl. Peacock is blue with feathers in tail with beautiful eye liked pattern on their back. The female ones don't have such tail and has mixture of green and brown color in body. Peacocks can raise its tail in a fan like shape making it more adorable display of art. They are found wild in forests and nearby cultivated area by humans. They feed on berries, grains and prey some small insects, reptiles like lizards. It is national bird of India and they live for around 23 years or so. Peacock has different stands in Hindu myths. Peahen lays 4-8 eggs between April to May in their breeding season which falls mostly in rainy season. They are found in Chitwan of Nepal.

great crested grebe in nepal

Description:
The Great Crested Grebe is a good looking waterbird found in Eurasia. They look distinct due to inclined soft feather or arrangement of feathers above head. They have brown body with mixture of black, white, orange, grey colours. Their chicks have black and white in their head which they loose in their adulthood. These birds lives in vegetated areas of lakes, reservoirs. Their life span is around 11 years. These birds breeds on fresh water from April to September when a female one lays a clutch sized of two or more eggs. They can swim as well as dive in water from early stage of their life. These birds feeds mainly on fish, small aquatic animals, insects and small frogs. They are found in Pokhara of Nepal.
