Description:
These birds are carnivorous birds and found in European and Asian countries. Their feathers are brown, with lighter patches. they have white long flying feathers in their wings which help them in circular flight at remarkable height. They also have a dark bill, yellow eyes and legs. They live in cliffs, rocky hills or in trees of farmland. They also nest in the repaired nest left by other birds. Even though these birds feed on carcass of animal like reptiles, squirrels, rabbits, small birds and large insects, they prey on animals which they see in while hovering in the sky. They live for around 9 years. Female buzzards lays about three to five eggs in a clutch in their breeding season which falls from March and May. These birds also have nature of migrating from one place to other. They are seen in Pokhara of Nepal.

Description:
The Great Cormorant is a black cloured widespread seabird and also found nearby lakes and river. It has a long tail and yellow patch in throat. The Great Cormorant nests on cliffs or trees made up of twigs, seaweed and plant leftovers in colonial manner. The Great Cormorant are good swimmers and can dive limited depths for about 20-30 seconds. It has been known to swallow small pebbles to make the dive easier. Their feathers are not waterproof, so they stretch out their wings to dry them off. It can live around 23 years. During breeding season 3 - 4 eggs are laid in a clutch. Both parents incubate eggs and take care of their offsprings. They are seen in Koshi Tappu of Nepal.

Long tailed Shrike is found over different places of Asia. They have a long and narrow black tail, have a black mask and forehead, rufous rump and flanks and a small white patch on the shoulder. A small amount of white is present at the base of the wings. Both sexes look alike. They are found in scrub, grassland and open land under cultivation. They feed on lizards, large insects, small birds, fishes, small snakes and rodents. Their nest is a deep and loose cup made up of thorny twigs, rags and hair. common hoopoe in nepal
The common hoopoe is a colorful bird found across Europe, Asia and North Africa with crown like feather in head. These birds are found in bare or lightly vegetated ground and nests in holes of trees, cliffs, burrows, grasslands, forests. These birds are also seen at high altitudes during migration across the Himalayas and was recorded at about 6400 m by the first Mount Everest Expedition.The diet of the Hoopoe consists grasshoppers, similar swarming insects, crickets, locusts, beetles, earwigs, cicadas, ant lions, bugs, ants, small reptiles and frogs as well as some plant matter such as seeds and berries. The species has a long, thin tapering bill that is black with a fawn base. The female lays eggs with clutch size varying up to 12 weighing 4.5 grams each. The Hoopoe is Israel's national bird. It lives in wetlands, where it feeds on various fish, frogs and other water creatures. Both gender look similar in size and appearance but juveniles have whiter necks and a black bill. They generally produce loud booming calls and low grunting. The breeding season of the black-headed ibis is determined by the monsoons, and it will often begin pairing up after the rains are over. Male black-headed ibises perform display flights and show off their ornamental plumes. It builds a stick nest in a tree and lays 2–4 eggs. They are found in koshi tappu of Nepal.

The Brown Fish Owl is one of the species of owls found in some parts of Asia. These owls have ears which look like horns. The upper parts are reddish brown and heavily streaked with black or dark brown. The underparts are buff to whitish, with dark lines and brown barring. The throat is white and can be conspicuously puffed, while the facial disk is indistinct. The irides are yellow, the feet a duller yellow, and the bill is dark. Sexes do not differ in appearance except for size. Brown Fish Owls breed from November to March. Female owl lays one or two eggs in a clutch which is often placed in an old stick nest of other birds. This nocturnal birds living on trees, feeds mainly on fishes, frogs and aquatic animals. They are found in Bardia of Nepal.

oriental white eye in Nepal कंकिर
The Oriental White-eye is a small yellowish perching bird. It is seen in different countries of Indian Subcontinent like Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China, India, Myanmar, Thailand and Laos and Malaysia. Forming small groups they live in moist forest, hills, islands and rarely on drier desert. They are easily identified by the distinctive white eye-ring and overall yellowish body. These birds are spotted in Bardia and other places of Nepal. They feed basically on nectar and small insects. April is their main breeding season though it start from February till September. Female bird lays 2-3 eggs in a clutch which are brooded by both parent birds. Both gender of these birds look alike.

Black Ibis in Nepal
Black Ibis (Red-naped Ibis) is a species of ibis found in parts of the Indian Subcontinent. It is found around Charkose Jhadi Panipiya in Nepal. These birds have long neck, red patch on black head and white patch near its shoulder. It has 13 to 17 cm long down curved bill. It lives near lakes, river sides, grazing fields and irrigated land in small numbered group. It nests in trees and breeds from March-April. The clutch size varies from 1 to 3 eggs per nest with average weight of 63.98 gms. The bird is popularly known as "farmer’s friend" as it feeds on large number of insects injurious to crop and other insects like Locust, Grasshoppers, Mantis, Dung beetles, Tiger beetles, Scrab beetles, Caterpillar, Spiders and Centipedes.

Emerald Dove in Nepal
Emerald Dove is a sub family of pigeon, dove. These secret and shy birds are rarely found in the wooded areas, forest, cultivated area, agriculture area. These bird are colorful and female dove have little dull color than that of male. These birds are seen across Nepal, Indonesia, Japan, India, Taiwan, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia,Cambodia, Pakistan, HongKong, Sri Lanka, China, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Bhutan, Myanmar. These bird feed itself on fruits, seeds, grass, bamboo etc. Its breeding period fall between April to September when female one lays 1-2 white colored eggs.

Chestnut tailed Starling in Nepal
The Chestnut-tailed Starling is found in the South Asian countries only and seen in Chitwan National Park, Narayani of Nepal. These birds are seen in the countries Nepal, Bhutan, India, Bangladesh, Southern China, Taiwan, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam , Cambodia and north-western Burma. These birds are found in the woods and cultivation area too and live in a hole as their nest at higher levels of trees. The female bird lays 3-5 eggs at time as a breeding process. They feed themselves on fruit, nectar and insects.

Pigeons in Nepal
Pigeon is found easily in most of the places of Earth and is another common bird found across the country in wild and houses too. Pigeons are strong to fly for hours so they are tamed from local peoples as hobby and are taken as messenger to carry messages from one place to another from past time. People have fantasies to feed them, see them having water bathing and held their flight competitions. These gentle birds are fed on grains, wheats, maize, grass etc and lives in group. These aves build their own nest from small sticks , left overs of woods, feathers and can easily live in forest and human societies too. Most of the temples across the country are like habitat of these birds. Female pigeons lay 1-2 egss at a time after male and female pigeons coopulates as their breeding process and the child pigeons leave parents after certain period.

The House Sparrow is a commonly found small bird with rounded head, and a pointed peak . It is 14-18 cm long and weighing about 24–39.5 gm. The male and female bird has different colors and found in most of the countries. The male one is comparatively bigger than the female one. It depends on agriculture products for its nutrition. It commonly builds its nest in house, trees, poles etc with straws and left outs of tree branches. They are social birds and can easily adjust with the human civilization and produce shorter chirps to talk where as they hop to move. It is preyed by other animals like cats, crows where as it can live up to 10 years.

Danfe (Lophophorus) is national bird of Nepal.This species of bird has common name as Pheasant, Monal, Danfe are commonly found in certain parts of Nepal, India, Tibet but eliminated from Afghanistan. Both male and female have different look. Males are more colorful than females. Though these gentle birds are also tamed but found wildly in the mountain ranges.
